I don't typically get upset about many things but I would love some feedback as to the Character of People in your opinion! I find I run into wonderful people all the time however, this one is not on my pleasant person list! You see for yourself what you think.
For years now I am been doing furniture and other items! Yes sometimes I see things in a magazine and know that I can make it just as good as the magazine makes it look but before I ever make something I look all over the local area to make sure there is not some other person doing the exact same thing or design! I have been so excited about my fun Chalk boards until yesterday when this add was posted on CL!!!! To me this is just rude! I wrote her a very polite email that just said, "Darling, my only wish is you could have taken my idea and put some sort of a twist on it making it your own."
I would not mind so much except for the fact she is right here in Spokane and to make matters worse, she is underselling me like crazy! I can't even purchase the knobs for under 6 bucks for the smaller one! She just wants me to not sell them! Sadly I don't like the fight and will probably not be selling them anymore unless my friends want them but still it's the lack of integrity that makes me sad!

I find it so sad that someone can work so hard making up their own idea and then for some odd reason someone with no imagination of their own can come along and just try and take away from what you do! I love getting ideas from other crafters but I MAKE IT MY OWN!!!! And before I sell it, out of respect I make sure there is nothing similar to what I am wanting to make! Common Courtesy I say!
My husband and I have been making these chalk boards for over a year and selling them locally here in Spokane! We work very hard on them and make them individual for each person!
Sad that someone can't take a cute idea and at least make them their own! So to the gal or guy that wants to undersell me I am a bigger person than you! Sorry you don't have enough skill to make your own ideas and go with them! I am sure if you can steel my idea you are talented enough to come up with some of your own!

I believe there are some people out there who don't care about morals or integrity! For them I am sad. I know your a much better person than that! Besides if they can undersell you by that much then their product is probably lacking in quality. Remember you get what you pay for.
You tell them, Ari! I'm glad you are deciding to just not fight about it. Good job. I'm sorry that they are copying you too.

This seriously SUCKS!!!! After you telling me this today, I just can't believe how sad and seriously bad that a person can do that....but you're the better person and artist!
I can't even believe that! I'm glad you e-mailed them. As a pretty avid craigslister myself, I have strong opinions about craigslist etiquette and how that's what keeps it going, so I totally think you are in the right here!!!
