My new ride and a fun trip!

So Ryan and I have been looking long and hard for a better vehicle for me to drive since we knew that Dax was going to be joining our family. As our luck would have it we found the perfect ride the day before Dax was born so we hurried got all our ducks in a row and a week later Ryan suprised Hunter with a plane ticket to SLC to go get our ride and visit his cousins for the weekend.  It was a fast trip but the memories that were made were so work it.  I love my new ride and could not be happier with the fact that Hunter got to go on a trip with his daddy!!!!  He loved playing with his cousins, seeing his grandparents and a long road trip back with his dad.  They talked and laughed the hole way and I am so thankful they have a wonderful relationship.  These are the kinds of things I do hope Hunter will remember as he gets older and starts to think we are no longer cool.  Lets just hope that doesn't happen :)
UM yes I love my new ride!

Headed Home

Lunch is over and done with and we are so very excited to get to take our little Dax man home with us.  I am so very thankful he was born healthy and I had the chance to never have him leave my side to go to the NICU.  Hunter can't wait to take his brother home!!!!

My favorite hospital moments

Holding you for the first time was AMAZING.  Then having Hunter meet you for the first time was even more AMAZING.  He loved bringin in his legos so that you could see the things he loves to do. Having Hunter hold you and tell you he loves you and is so happy to have you here with him.  Hunter has waited very long time to be a big brother and if there is one thing in life I am sure of it is the fact that he will be one fantastic big brother.

Having my parents there to greet you was also very special to me.  I value family and I want you to know just how very important family is.

Also we are so very blessed to have wonderful friends that would do anything for us and among them would be Mary.  She is heaven sent and we are very thankful for everything she does for out family.  Without her and my parents bed rest would have been even tougher than it was.  Mary made sure Hunter had the BEST summer ever and we are Thankful every day for those that are in our lives.  What a wonderful blessing it is to be surrounded by those we love.

Thank you Heavenly Father for sending Dax to us!!!!  We promise to LOVE him every day!!!!

Dax Daryl Johnson

Wednesday August 15th I woke up and things were a little different with me.  I felt tired and my contractions were very painful.  Although not consistent so we went about our day hanging out as a family.  Being on Bed rest has been boring but not to bad since I have had so much help from so many wonderful people.  Wednesday was a little funny though because I had been scheduled to have little Dax that am around 6 and due to a mis-calculation in my due date by (2 days) they required that I move my C-Section date to Friday.  I was nervous since I had never even made it to 36 weeks before but after having an amnio on Tuesday and finding out that his lungs weren't ready for delivery I was more than happy to wait.  So since Ryan already had the day off and my parents were here we decided to head over the the park so I could plant my big butt int the shade and enjoy watching everyone swim at the pool.  It was a relaxing day but contractions were constant   Needless to say by 10PM had put a call into my Dr to let him know they were getting more frequent.  He told me to keep a close eye on them and as soon as I have more than 4 in one hour to call him and come in.  Well if you know me you know I don't like to bother people so by 11PM everyone in the house was asleep and so was I.  By 12:00 I was woken up by the largest contraction of my life and then another and another and another.  By this time I got up and called the on call Dr. to let him know and waking him up made me feel oh so bad so after chatting with him for 30 seconds he told me either go in or go back to bed and let him sleep (he has the personality of a ROCK).  So I apologized and let him go back to sleep not wanted to bother him (SILLY ME).  By 2PM I was delusional and just kept hitting my Lap timer on my iPhone with every contraction not aware they were so close.  By 2:15 the hospital calls me and wakes  Ryan up.  Ryan asked me how I was feeling and needless to say he jumped out of bed after I handed him my iPhone and told him I think I am getting pretty close and maybe I should call my Dr. and not the on call Dr.  He looked at me and said, "Ari Anna my dear are they really 3 min apart?"  After looking at him with my tired no sleep eyes I said, "oh my gosh are they really?"  Needless to say I was awake and calling my Dr. only to be told we needed to race to the hospital and we would be having little Dax very soon.  So we woke my dad up got a super fast blessing for calmness and safety for me and for Dax and raced out the door.  By the time we got to the hospital they were already scrubbed and ready for me to go into surgery.  My wonderful Dr. came in on his night off to assist the very boring no personality on call Dr. :)

By 4:17 on the 16th the surgery was over and I was looking at my beautiful baby boy.  Dax Daryl Johnson was healthy and beautiful weighing in at 6lbs9oz and 20 inches long.  He is a miracle and I am so very blessed to have the boys that I have.  Ryan was so excited to get to go and ring that hospital bell telling everyone that heard that sound that we had a sweet little baby boy.  Although I was silly and waited way to long to go into the hospital it all turned out wonderful and we are so very thankful.

Funny boy

I may have not been with it 100% this day as I could feel myself going into labor but how could I not laugh my little head off when Hunter came up to me and said, "HI MOM."
